Dear Dr. Greg Wilson,

we are pleased to inform you that your presentation proposal, "What
We've Learned From Building Basie", has been accepted for inclusion in
the conference program. We have allocated a 30 minute slot for your
presentation, and will be contacting you to have you confirm deadlines
and provide more information.

We would like to state that this year, we received over 178 individual
talk proposals for PyCon 2010. This is an amazing number of talks, and
due to this we have decided to add an additional "5th Track" to
accommodate more talks than years previous. The Program committee had
it's work cut out for them this year, and spent several months
reviewing, and then debating all of the talks - and given the amazing
talk proposals, of which yours was one, this is looking like it will be
the best PyCon yet.

For tips on giving your presentation and creating your slide deck,
please see: http://us.pycon.org/2010/speaker-notes/

Please remember that by submitting your proposal you have given
permission for a video recording of your presentation to be published on
the web. For the convenience of attendees who may reference your talk in
the conference archives, please provide us with your final slides no
later than one week before the conference. We prefer materials in HTML,
reST or PDF; if you use a proprietary format such as Powerpoint's PPT
for your slide deck, please be sure to provide a HTML or PDF version.
You are also welcome to provide the source document.

While the conference website will publish your materials, you will
retain sole copyright. To increase the usefulness of your presentation,
we suggest and encourage -- though not require -- that you license your
materials under a Creative Commons CC-BY license. For more detail, see:
http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

Thank you for submitting your proposal(s), and we look forward to
meeting you in Atlanta!

If you have any questions, comments or concerns please do not hesitate
to contact either one of us.

We are attaching the program committee's reviews of your proposal below;
they are also visible to authors on the PyCon website.

Sincerely,
Jesse Noller, program committee chair, PyCon 2010
Van Lindberg, conference chair, PyCon 2010

I'd be interested to hear about the educational aspect of this. I.E.
what and how students learned through the project; what different
directions did the project go as a result of experience gained.

As a 90% telecommuter, I'm especially interested in hearing about the
experiences with remote collaboration.

I definitely want to hear from Dr. Wilson about how this project has
been going, and about his interactions with students.

Having spoken both with Dr. Wilson and several of his students about
this project, I know his enthusiasm is infectious, and the project has
been quite successful in both its technical and educational goals. I'm
sure he will give a thoroughly interesting presentation.
